A SHOW CHOIR SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE
Join us for an exciting week of singing and dancing! Campers will meet daily from 10:00-1:00 and learn from experienced vocal directors and choreographers (read more below!). The Horizon High School choir students will serve as counselors and learn alongside our campers. Students will learn three songs and dances and will give a final showcase performance on Friday, May 29th, at 1:00. The registration fee includes a camp t-shirt to wear for performance day, music, snacks, and a guaranteed great time! It’s the best way to kick off your summer.
Registration is now open and space is limited. Camp tuition is $100.

GENERAL CAMP INFO

Although camp is hosted by ACCENTS, Horizon HS choir boosters, ***camp will be held at Desert Shadows Middle School***

Students should be prepared to be active each day during camp. Please have your student wear comfortable shorts, t-shirts, socks, and tennis shoes (or jazz-style dance shoes if already owned).

There is no need to purchase any special dance/performance clothing or shoes for the camp.

Camp will conclude with a final showcase performance on Friday, 05/29, at 1:00pm.

Students will wear their camp t-shirts and blue jeans for the final performance on Friday.

Each student is responsible for their own possessions while at camp.

Please bring a refillable water bottle labeled with your camper's name and a few snacks each day.
Camp Payment, Policies, & Refund Information

Payment is due in-full at time of registration.

Camp tuition is $100 Registration ends May 21, 2026, unless it closes earlier due to full registration numbers.

Absolutely NO registrations will be taken after May 21.

Refund Policy: A 50% refund for cancelled registrations is available until May 7, 2026. After May 7, there will be NO refunds for cancelled registrations.

If the registration reaches the maximum number of participants, the registration form will be closed and a waitlist will be established.

Meet your clinicians!
Dr. Judy durocher- vocal director

For thirty-five years, Dr. Durocher has been honing her craft and career as a choral director and music educator. With a reputation for excellence, Dr. Durocher brings to her teaching a unique combination of counseling, musical and performance skills. She holds a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from Bradley University and a second Masters in Counseling from Arizona State University. She completed her Ph.D. in Choral Music Education from the University of Arizona. Before pursuing her doctoral degree, Dr. Durocher developed two of Arizona’s outstanding choir programs at Horizon High School and Pinnacle High School in the Paradise Valley School District. Dr. Durocher retired from Scottsdale Community College. She has sung professionally with the nationally renowned Phoenix Chorale. Dr. Durocher taught at Oberlin Conservatory as a sabbatical replacement in the Music Education division. She was also a Voice Instructor at the Wausau Conservatory of Music, and an Adjunct professor at UWSP - Wausau, teaching the voice majors. She was also the Artistic Director of Wausau Pro Musica. Since returning to Phoenix, Dr. Durocher has been working as a School Counselor at Cocopah Middle School.
Sean dean - Choreographer
Sean Dean is a freelance, award-winning choreographer, show designer, and clinician. Born in Phoenix, he is a graduate of the Horizon High School choir program, an alumnus of Step on Stage, and was a four-year member of the Arizona All-State Choirs. Sean studied music at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, earning his Bachelor of Music in commercial vocal performance with a minor in music business. While attending Belmont, Sean was the president and choreographer of the Pitchmen. Under his leadership, they won the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella and brought home every award for “Outstanding Choreography” during their 2023 undefeated season. Additionally, he was the visual director and dance captain of the university’s commercial pop ensemble, Company, and spent his summers as a camp counselor at Showchoir Camps of America. Specializing in choreography for vocalists, Sean has worked with award-winning show choirs and a cappella groups across the country. Above all else, he loves bringing the best out of every performer and creating unforgettable performances for them.

Allison Kluch - Vocal director

Allison Kluch is an accomplished choral educator with over a decade of experience in the field of music education. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Chapman University in 2011, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Music from the University of Southern California in 2013. In the fall of 2013, Allison began her tenure as the choir director at Horizon High School, where she has been shaping the voices of young musicians ever since. Under her leadership, the choir program has flourished, and Allison has become known for her dedication to excellence in both performance and pedagogy. Beyond her teaching, Allison is an active leader within the music education community. She has served on the boards of the Arizona Music Educators Association (AMEA) and the Arizona Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (AzACDA), holding key roles including Show Choir R & R chair, All-State Show Choir chair, and Vice President of the All-State Jazz & Show Choir Festival. She has also shared her expertise as a presenter at the AMEA conference and at Showchoir Camps of America, contributing to the professional development of music educators across the country.
