Towne Criers
Towne Criers is our top advanced mixed concert choir. It is usually made up of between 20-30 men and 25-35 women who are almost all Juniors and Seniors. These extremely talented young men and women have gone through a critical audition process to make it into this ensemble. This is a very select ensemble that puts in many hours of rehearsal both in and out of class. They are usually our top performers and they all have extensive training in voice.
Towne Criers participates in four major concerts a year including Broadway Under the Stars, the Winter Concert, The Honorís Concert and the Spring Concert. They also perform for recruiting purposes, at school assemblies and every year they go on tour in the Spring to compete and perform for various audiences around the nation. They have traveled to New York City, Chicago, San Francisco & Los Angeles within the past four years. Towne Criers was chosen to perform at the 2006 Arizona Music Educators Association State Convention in Mesa , Arizona. They were awarded first place at the Festival Disney Competition in Orlando and took home the Grand Champion Award in the Fame Chicago Concert Choir Competition in 2010.
