ACCENTS is dedicated to using our time and talents to support the choir program at Horizon.
The fall choir show, ‘BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS’ is a much anticipated event of our community. The show involves all choir students and is the primary fundraiser for ACCENTS.
Based on a solid foundation, and with the support of our dedicated teacher, ACCENTS has a reputation as an outstanding parent group. Your help is needed to continue to improve our choir program. Volunteers are essential to the success of the program. Volunteering for ‘BROADWAY UNDER THE STARS’ and attending the monthly ACCENTS parent meetings are great ways to get involved. Parent participation is essential throughout the year! You can help by assisting with ushering, selling concessions, flowers or tickets for concerts, costume preparation or by providing snacks for rehearsals, etc. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to meet your schedule and your gifts/talents! We welcome your input and ideas.
Parents are encouraged to become an ACCENTS’ Angel. Sign up during choir walk-through or contact our VP Angels Coordinator. Benefits include:
- Angel pin and HHS choir decal
- Early seating at choir concerts
- Advance ticket purchase for ‘Broadway Under The Stars’
- Supporting an awesome program that benefits teenagers
Our choir parent group, ACCENTS, meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the choir room (G105). See calendar in handbook.
